Introducing to you my Mr. Right…

My sweet Daniel and I are complete opposites. But as the famous saying goes, opposites attract. He likes fishing, I like football. He likes running, I don’t! He is quite; I can’t keep my mouth shut. He thinks before he speaks, I speak before I think. He likes healthy foods; I like hot fudge sundays with extra hot fudge. As you get the idea of our differences, I must say that we compliment each other. I feel so incredibly blessed to call Daniel my husband. He is the man of my dreams, even when I get upset about dirty dishes in the sink.

I met Daniel at a Bible study right before heading off to college. His bushy wild hair was hard not to miss and His love for the Lord was contagious. When we started to date I couldn’t stop admiring Daniel’s knowledge of scripture and his dedication to the Lord. Before we would watch a late night movie, he would always encourage for us to have our quite time with the Lord. He would say that we would be too tired to understand it after the movie was over and he was always right about it.

After dating for four years, we got married and moved to a small town surrounded by deers and bears. FYI, I did get to see a bear for the first time in our area this year. Ok, changing subject back to Daniel. This summer Daniel and I will celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary (time is passing by way too fast) as we look forward to celebrating many more. God knew that I would be complete when He brought Daniel into my life and for that I am forever grateful.

  2. Beautiful post. It was very much the same with my husband and I--opposites--and over the years, with some work, we are gaining the same interests. I'm so glad you appreciate your husband's opposite qualities; that's mature of you. They can become the thing that irk us about the person later if we don't truly love our spouses just the way they are. May God richly bless you in your marriage, Oxana! Thanks for sharing your heart.
