This dessert has a very special meaning to me…mama used to make it when I was little on special occasions. Not too long ago when we decided to bring snacks to work, my mom sent me the recipe for this super easy and amazingly delicious dessert. We call it kalbasa, but you can call it sausage, because when all is done the dessert takes a shape of a sausage.
Let one stick of butter sit at a room temperature until it has soften enough to squeeze it in your hands. Add half a can of sweetened condensed milk.
Next add 3 table spoons of baking cocoa.
Crumble 1 package of Sandies short bread cookies leaving small chunks of pieces not crushed all the way. Add cookies to the liquid mixture and blend everything well.
Tear a piece of plastic wrapping paper and drop 3-4 table spoons of mixture on it.
Roll it up in a form of a sausage and place it in the fridge for several hours.
The whole preparation process took me less than 5 minutes and the results were absolutely amazing. Make sure to serve the dessert cold, because if left out at a room temperature it will start melting.
